TITLE: Factors Related to the Thickness of the Epidermis*

This project tested if the number of dividing cells is directly related to the thickness of the epidermis. This project also explored the question of whether the epidermis in a region of tissue that was wounded has a higher number of dividing cells and a greater thickness than those of a region of normal tissue.

It was found that there was not a direct relationship between the number of dividing cells and the thickness of the epidermis. It was also found that the number of dividing cells and the thickness of the wounded epidermis were not larger than those of the normal epidermis. This was determined through linear regression analysis and the t-tests that were performed on the data collected.
